The face must be of best appearance but may contain sap, small streaks, pin wormholes, burls, slight imperfections in milling that can be sanded out at installation and small tight knots. Average length 3 ¼ feet.

#1 Common

Has varying natural wood characteristics such as flags, heavy streaks and checks, wormholes, knots and minor imperfections. Average length 2 ¾ feet.

#2 Common

This rustic grade may contain sound natural variations of all types and manufacturing imperfections. This grade offers an economical floor and the natural character marks and contrasting appearance some consumers desire. Average length 2 ¼ feet.

Rustic

This is a combined grade of  Common #1 and  Common #2 available only in 6" to 8" widths.  It may contain sound natural variations of all types and manufacturing imperfections. This grade offers an economical floor and the natural character marks and contrasting appearance some consumers desire. Average length will be longer because of the combined grades- about 2 3/4 feet.
