Select & Better

The face must be practically free of defects; this grade is color selected for black uniformity. The face may have small streaks, pin wormholes, burls, slight imperfections in milling that can be sanded out at installation and small tight knots. Average length 3 ¼ feet.

#2 Common

This rustic grade may contain sound natural variations of all types and manufacturing imperfections. Great difference in color with both light sapwood and dark heartwood in this grade; also varying natural wood characteristics such as flags, heavy streaks, wormholes and knots. Average length 2 ¼ feet.
